Could not be prouder of the disciple now event called "Momentum" our church hosted this weekend. Our student pastor Josh Merriott and his team did an outstanding job. Guest preacher was Kasey Benson and worship was led by Ben Moore and band. 70 students, 15 decisions for Christ, numerous families and volunteers involved, students broken and ready to reach their peers with the good news of Jesus. Again, grateful to God for His leading.
What does it mean to be relationally united with the Body of Christ? We gain insight to this question in Ephesians 4:1-6 and Philippians 2:1-4. It is important to be connected with a local church if you are a follower of Christ. But when you read the Scriptures it is more than being connected, it is about having a relationship of connecting, accountability, and single purpose. You will not experience the power of this relationship in the local church when you sit on the sidelines. It is when you are intentional in living for Christ in and through His Body, the Church. On a local level, a true follower of Christ will want a relationship with the church. This builds strength in discipleship and unity that can shake a region and nation for Christ.
A true disciple of Christ is going to be fully spirit led and relationally united with the body of Christ. The third mark of a dynamic disciple? That is this Sunday...
